Bay Area Service Teens oversees seven philanthropic programs – Basic Kneads, Birthday in a Box, Cause for Paws, Crafted with Care, Notes for Folks, Ready for School Support, and Project Snuggle.
Basic Kneads
In collaboration with Bay Area Service League, address food insecurity by preparing Snack Attack Packs monthly for students identified as homeless in Deer Park, La Porte, and Texas City ISDs. Donate and volunteer at two local food pantries and participate in the Galveston County Food Bank and St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church’s monthly food distribution day.
Birthday in a Box
Provides party kits to at-risk students at League City and McWhirter Elementary Schools in Clear Creek ISD, and KE Little and San Leon Elementary Schools in Dickinson ISD, along with a small gift and handwritten card.
Cause for Paws
Adoption kits are assembled for distribution to new pet owners. Food and supply donations are delivered to designated shelters.
Crafted with Care
Specialty-themed mementos are created and delivered to children who reside at the Bay Area Turning Point and Bridge Over Troubled Waters, domestic abuse shelters for women and children.
Notes for Folks
Cards recognizing birthdays and other special occasions are created and shared with senior adults in the memory care unit who reside at Discovery Village Clear Lake.
Ready for School Support
The teens participate in the organization’s largest philanthropy through various identified activities.
Project Snuggle
Fleece blankets are made and distributed to children at the Bay Area Turning Point and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, domestic abuse shelters for women and children.
