Selina Nelson, Chair of Operation Support Our Schools, and Vice Chair Theresa Graham regularly engage in shopping activities to gather nonperishable items for delivery to selected campuses in Clear Creek ISD and Dickinson ISD. These schools are part of Communities In Schools – Bay Area.

CIS-Bay Area operates as part of a national dropout prevention initiative that evaluates a student’s risk of not completing their education. When a student is identified as being at high risk, a Student Support Specialist is assigned to serve as a mentor and coach, guiding them through their school journey to ensure they stay on track for graduation.

In partnership with CIS-Bay Area, Bay Area Service League, through Operation Support Our Schools, addresses essential student needs. This includes providing snacks and water for moments when students feel stressed or upset, allowing them time to regroup before returning to class.
