Bay Area Service Teens Transition Membership as Auxiliary Grows Substantially in Its Early Years

From its earliest days, Bay Area Service Teens has been a group of young people eager to make a difference. When the organization was first established, membership was open to students in grades 7-12.

By 2006, just 10 years after its charter, the auxiliary had grown so rapidly that eligibility shifted to grades 9 through 12. This change was made to ensure a meaningful experience for every member.

During its time affiliated with a national organization, Bay Area Service Teens distinguished itself as one of the largest teen auxiliaries in the country.

Membership continued to climb, reaching an all-time high of 225 teens in 2013. Today, the auxiliary remains strong, averaging 150-175 members who carry forward the tradition of #transforminglives and #strengtheningcommunity.

Nearly three decades later, the future looks brighter than ever.
