No child should have to worry about their next meal, and Bay Area Service Teens is taking action to address this issue.

Through Basic Kneads, the organization’s auxiliary focused on nutritional scarcity; teen and adult members assemble Snack Attack Packs for students who lack access to food outside school hours. Each pack contains a microwaveable meal, a sweet-and-salty snack, and a drink.

Food insecurity continues beyond school hours. Many students spend time away from the classroom without reliable meals. Snack Attack Packs help ensure students do not go hungry during these times.
