Responding to the growing concern about food insufficiency in our community, members of Bay Area Service Teens and Bay Area Service League® have joined forces with the Snack Attack Packs initiative—the largest component of Bay Area Service Teens’ philanthropic program, Basic Kneads.

The 2026-2027 program year officially began with a kick-off event on Sunday, August 9th.

From August to May, the group purchases food from local H-E-B stores and comes together to assemble 1,050 packages. Each package contains a microwaveable meal, a sweet and salty snack, and a refreshing drink. These packages are then delivered to personnel in Deer Park ISD, La Porte ISD, and Texas City ISD, where they are distributed to students who need a nutritional boost outside of school hours.
