Through Partnerships, 379 Caring Kits Distributed during the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year

The National Coalition on Domestic Violence reports that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the United States have experienced some form of physical violence from an intimate partner. In Texas specifically, 40.1% of women and 34.9% of men have faced intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner rape, or intimate partner stalking at some point in their lives.

Bay Area Service League supports our Caring Kits philanthropic program, collaborating with partners Bay Area Turning Point, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc., Jerry Garcia, Harris County Constable Precinct 2, League City Police Department, Memorial Hermann Southeast Campus, and UTMB Health in Galveston. We provide kits that include clothing, undergarments, flip-flops, and hygiene products to assist adults and children who have been required to surrender their clothing as evidence following an assault.

For the 2024-2025 fiscal year, our committee members assembled and delivered three hundred seventy-nine (379) kits to these facilities.
