From 2007 until its retirement in March 2014, Bay Area Service Teens led Caps for Cancer, a philanthropic program that supported young patients during difficult times.
After each meeting, teens decorated soft, colorful caps, each one unique. These caps were delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in the Houston Medical Center to comfort children undergoing treatment far from home.
Caps for Cancer exemplified compassion and the teens’ creativity. It helped young patients feel comfortable and fashionable during treatment, giving them confidence in a challenging time.
