Bay Area Service Teens Cite Birthday in a Box as a Favorite Philanthropic Program

Bay Area Service Teens volunteer with several philanthropic programs from September to April, immediately following their membership meetings.

One of their favorite programs is Birthday in a Box. For this initiative, they assemble all the items an elementary student needs to celebrate a birthday. Each gift bag includes cupcake supplies, a gift, and a handwritten card from a Bay Area Service Teen wishing the student a happy birthday.

The students who receive these boxes are part of the Communities In Schools – Bay Area program. They attend League City Elementary and McWhirter Elementary in Clear Creek ISD, as well as KE Little Elementary and San Leon Elementary in Dickinson ISD.
