The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce⁠ hosted its sixth annual Nonprofit Volunteer of the Year Award Breakfast on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the South Shore Harbour Country Club.

Bay Area Service League was among the nonprofit chamber members that submitted a nominee.

Seventeen individuals were recognized for their positive impact on the community.

Our nominee, LaBita Boddie, exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism.

LaBita has dedicated her time and talents to our largest philanthropic program, Ready for School, and to resource development. She serves as vice chair for both the resale shop, a year-round commitment, and Just a Pretty Table, our event fundraiser.
