The Early Legacy of Bay Area Service League’s Assist‑A‑Child Cards

One of Bay Area Service League’s first fundraisers was the Assist-A-Child cards, envisioned and created by Marla Magness, a local orthodontist. These correspondence cards have become a hallmark of our organization, distinguished by the dedication of our Bay Area Service Teens, who hand-colored each design in the early years.

The collection offers several options suitable for celebrations, expressions of sympathy, or supporting philanthropic efforts.

Before Bay Area Service League produced cookbooks or opened the Resale Shop, these hand-colored cards were a vital source of revenue, brought to life by our Bay Area Service Teens.
