Providing Dignity and Comfort to Survivors of Sexual Assault

April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and at the conclusion of this 30-day observance, we were reminded that the mission of supporting survivors continues throughout the year.

To assist those who have endured such traumatic experiences, Bay Area Service League puts together Caring Kits filled with essential items. These kits are designed for individuals who have reported the crime and given their consent for an examination to gather evidence. They leave not only with the clothing they are wearing but also with the comforting knowledge that others care about them and acknowledge the distressing ordeal they have faced.

These Caring Kits are distributed to program partners, including UTMB Galveston, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and the Bay Area Turning Point.
