After 30 years of a remarkable career, Peter Wuenschel is retiring from Communities In Schools – Bay Area, leaving an impressive legacy. When Peter joined, the organization was Bridgeport – Communities In Schools, with Bay Area Service League as an active partner.

Under Peter’s leadership, what began at the then-Webster Intermediate and League City Intermediate campuses expanded and became Communities In Schools – Bay Area. The partnership with Bay Area Service League continued through Operation Support Our Schools, which supports CIS – Bay Area’s mission across campuses in Clear Creek ISD and Dickinson ISD.

We congratulate Peter on his retirement and recognize the energy, care, and compassion he has given the organization over the years. While he will be missed, we are confident that his leadership has prepared the team to continue building on the strong foundation he established.
