For many students, the school day is more than just a time for learning—it is also a source of daily nourishment. Unfortunately, when classes end, many children experiencing food insecurity lose access to dependable meals. To help bridge this gap, Bay Area Service League® provides Snack Attack Packs.

Snack Attack Packs are assembled to support students who face hunger outside of school hours. Each pack contains a microwaveable meal, both a sweet and a salty snack, and a drink. These basic but meaningful provisions can have a real impact on children who might otherwise go without food.

Members of Bay Area Service League and Bay Area Service Teens work together to assemble these packs and deliver them to authorized school district staff. This ensures that students in need receive their Snack Attack Packs discreetly and respectfully. For those identified as homeless or food insecure, having a Snack Attack Pack can mean the difference between going to bed hungry and having something to eat.

The 2026-2027 program year began on Sunday, August 9th, with 1,050 meals packaged and prepared for distribution to three partner school districts.
