What book first made you fall in love with reading? What story opened your imagination when you were young? What if we could help hundreds of children experience that same spark?

Bay Area Service League’s Literacy for Life will be participating in the Trunk or Treat at Clear Lake United Methodist Church on Friday, October 30th, and we are preparing for another exciting year of giving. Last year, we distributed more than 300 children’s books, and we are challenging ourselves to match that number. Our goal is to collect 300 books in just three weeks, and we are inviting the community to help us reach it.

We are requesting donations of new or gently used children’s books. These may include baby board books, easy readers, classics such as Charlotte’s Web, chapter books such as the Percy Jackson series, graphic novels, and books in Spanish. All books should be new or gently used, with no *discarded”*markings or writing.

We have three weeks to collect 300 books.

Will you help us fill the pumpkin patch and share the joy of reading with children throughout our community? Each pumpkin colored represents a collection of 10 books.

You can drop off donations at our resale shop during regular business hours: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 100 E. Nasa Parkway, Suite #80, in Webster.

Please do not place the books in the Little Free Library in front of the shop, as they are intended for another use.
