READY FOR SCHOOL
Ready for School provided new clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits to 2445 students, pre-kindergarten through high school, in the Clear Creek, Deer Park, Dickinson, Friendswood, Galveston, La Porte, Santa Fe, and Texas City Independent School Districts and Odyssey Academy Public Charter School District in the Galveston Island, Texas City, and Webster campuses. All requests were submitted by authorized school personnel.

READY FOR WORK
The Ready for Work program, in collaboration with United Way Greater Houston’s Family Houston at Bay Area, Family Promise of Clear Creek, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and Workforce Solutions, provided 53 referred clients with job interview clothing from the current Resale Shop inventory and specialty items at a local Wal-Mart.

LITERACY FOR LIFE
Literacy for Life, a new philanthropic program approved by the membership in the spring of 2025, will commit to advancing literacy among children by ensuring access to books. This initiative represents a collaborative effort with Barnes & Noble and the chapter’s Little Free Libraries. By placing books directly in children’s hands, the goal is to cultivate a passion for reading and enhance literacy skills.

OPERATION CINDERELLA
Assisted 165 high school seniors identified as in need with the selection of formal dresses, shoes, jewelry, and purses for the girls and a custom-made suit, shirt, tie, and shoes for the boys, for a positive prom experience.

They do make you feel special and like Cinderella! What they do for young ladies like me is truly amazing because this opportunity doesn’t happen often.“
CARING KITS
Distributed 379 kits through partnerships with Bay Area Turning Point, the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, the La Porte Police Department, the League City Police Department, Harris Country Constable Precinct 2, Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters containing a pair of scrubs, undergarments, health care items, and flip flops to meet some of the immediate needs of individuals victimized by sexual assault or domestic abuse.

OPERATION SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS
Provided over $102,000 in services for students who attend 26 campuses through vision referrals, prescription eyewear, donated optometry and dental care, and nutritional support.

SNACK ATTACK PACKS
Provided 10,480 supplemental meals to students facing food insecurity who attend schools in Deer Park ISD, La Porte ISD, and Texas City ISD.

Provided families who had experienced apartment fires with clothing and household items.
